How It Works
Seven stages from a cold tap to a heater you can trust again.
Every tankless call runs through the same seven stages, whatever the make or the code.
Describe the problem
Give us the make, the code on the screen if there is one, and what the hot water is doing. You get a probable cause and an estimated range.
History before parts
Most controllers log their recent faults. Pulling that log tells the technician whether today's code is a one-off or a pattern.
Supply checked under load
Gas pressure is read with the burner running, or the breakers and voltage on an electric unit, since a weak supply mimics a dead part.
Water side and vents
The inlet screen is cleaned, the flow rate is measured, and the air intake and exhaust are checked for blockage or damage.
The suspect is tested
Sensors, igniter, flame rod and control board are measured against the manufacturer's figures before anything gets ordered.
You sign off the price
The fault and the cost are written down for you to approve. When an older unit is not worth the spend, you are told so plainly.
Fixed, then pushed hard
After the repair or descale, several taps run together while the outlet temperature is watched, so the fix is proven under real demand.
